Auction Success!

What a day to say how blessed we are! The day turned out to be a great success. We had a record breaking of 67 volunteers! Incredible! Thank you all for your volunteering hearts. We could of not done this with out you all!!

Unfortunately we did have a last minute Auctioneer cancellation two days before the Auction do to health reasons, we pray he's doing better.
Thank goodness for Stephanie, the Directors Wife, and her connections. She was able to contact old friends with this special talent to save the day. They drove down quite a long way to get here and we are so grateful they did. Glory to God alone because they happened to only have our auction weekend off with their busy schedule. 😊

Our 22nd Annual Benefit Auction really took a lot of hard work and long hours of preparing for it. We are truly thankful for our sponsors and donors who contributed to this event. We are also extremely grateful for all of you who came out and supported us because of the impact we have created with-in this community. Trust that we will make the most of your contributions to make a bigger impact to the at-risk-youth of Phoenix. Our hearts are in the right place and burning so bright to make this happen. THANK YOU! Welcome Ivan & Mykeila!

This past weekend we had the privilege to add to our Aim Right Family yet again!! We feel immensely blessed to have Ivan & Mykeila Beachy here with us from Ohio. They made the big move to Phoenix this past February 4th.

They first clicked with Aim Right while helping out with VBS in the summer of 2015. It was a trip that was meant to be with Grace Mennonite Youth Group that sadly got cancelled but Mykeila, Ivan & Ivan's sister managed to come out and help out getting to know the city's youth. They also got to experience Teen Camp in Dolores, Colorado for a week as counselors in June 2016. This is a very precious and God growing week the teens get to experience away from the city. It was also a great way for Ivan & Mykeila to get connected with teens and staff. They recently decided to move to Phoenix to grow in their faith and experience living in the city compared to the country where they are from. Such a bold move deserves recognition to God alone. For it is He who works in our hearts and leads them.

They will be connecting with our youth at our Aim Right North programs.

We are so thankful for their move and cant wait to see what God has in store for them.

Welcoming Joel and Ann!

Here at Aim Right we are full of joy and hyped to welcome Joel and Anndra Roby to the staff squad! How exciting is this??!! We are so pumped to know that God has blessed us with their help and presence to assist in the mission He has heavily placed in our hearts to follow.

The decision for them did not come easy tho. God tugged  at their hearts and after many prayers from family and friends they chose to give in and come back to where it all started for them.

Joel and Ann met here in Phoenix through Aim Right. Joel had served as an Aim Right Intern 2009-2010 and decided to return and lend a hand with the ministry in 2013-2014 just in time to meet Ann. 💘 Ann, on a spontaneous decision, decided to move to Phoenix with a dear friend. Here she got affiliated with Aim Right through her friends Aunt and Uncle. Then one night after Kids Club they were able to introduce Ann to Joel at a near by Zoyos Yogurt spot. They later got to know each other a little more at a Staff Retreat in Payson, AZ.

Eventually they both moved back home and still kept in touch with each other. A long distance relationship lead to an engagement. 😍 After marriage God then led them to Ohio where He needed them to be. Caleb, Aim Right's Director,  and his wife Stephanie happen to be in Ohio and were able to squeeze in a double date with the newly weds. Unknowingly after that double date God had planted a seed in Ann's heart when listening to what Caleb said Aim Right needed. She struggled with the fact that God was calling her to step up for Aim Right as the new Children's Ministry Director. That's a huge change God was asking her to do but after many intentional prayers for guidance and a sign... Caleb calls out of the blue. "I dont know if this is a shot in the dark" Caleb first said and asked if they would consider moving to Phoenix to fill the position & help out with Aim Right. WOW!! You cant deny that SIGN!! They eventually said YES and were blown away from all the support they received. How Amazing is our God!!

We couldn't be more blessed and grateful for their obedient hearts!

- Pray for God to lead them in the purchase of a permanent house or rent.
- Pray over insecurities and confidence in their rolls as new leaders.
- Pray that they continue to get settled.
- Pray for good health.

Celebrating Amy!

On Monday the 16th we got to celebrate one of our dearest staff members and volunteers, Amy Unrau. She has been Aim Right's right hand as our Administrative Assistant along with many other job titles here for 12 years. Aside from being awesome, Amy, took care of all the financing, blogging, mailings, thank you letters, supplies, event prepping/booking, newsletters, graphic designing, kids ministry, and much much more! She has served wholehearted and it has been such a pleasure to of had her here with us.

With Gods guidance Amy has taken the plunge to move on to where Gods calling her. Tho it will truly be sad to not have her around as much as she was before we love that she is going to make an impact where God has directed her. Here's a bit of Amy's story...

Growing up in Oklahoma, since she was as young as she can remember, Amy always wanted to be a teacher. She was raised in a Christian home with her dad, mom, and brother raising beef cattle. As she got older in the back of her mind she knew she wanted to be of service to the Lord in some way or another. God then called her to sponsor a teen for Aim Right Camp one year and the gratitude from a Thank You note that camper gave her just touched her heart. It pushed her to intentionally pray for guidance in service. After many prayers God directed her to Aim Right's 1 year Intern program bringing her to Phoenix. Impacting youth who are outsiders to the Christian way of life with her kindness and love for others.

Here she became Aim Rights Administrative assistant soon after her internship ended. During these years here she heard God calling her as she helped during Aim Rights Tutor Program where volunteers would sit with kids from the neighborhood to help them with their homework. She often wondered why the kids were not learning at school. It sadden her heart and with a positive attitude she thought she needed to do something about it. Just like Peter when he saw Jesus-SHE DOVE IN and took the plunge! Amy has now been studying at Grand Canyon University since June 2015 on her road to becoming a TEACHER!! She will be graduating in May 3rd of this year!!

Mark Your Calendars!

Would you believe that preparations are underway for Aim Right's 22nd annual benefit auction?  It is hard to believe that so many years of auctions has passed, but we are looking forward to another great sale. The longevity of this fundraiser is due to those of you who have supported the sale with your generous support over the years. Your word of mouth referrals and investment in the mission of reaching youth for Jesus is much appreciated! 

 

Aim Right's annual benefit auction will be held Saturday, March 4.  Some of this year's auction items are already posted on our auction website, and more will be added in the weeks to come.  Aim Right is still accepting items for the sale and will be happy to coordinate a time for you to either drop off your items or go to your residence to pick up your items.  Call the office at (602) 462-1987 for more information.

 

Below is a list of suggested auction items:

• Handiwork - quilts, comforters, crochet, embroidery, baby blankets
• Antiques - glassware, furniture, collectibles
• Furniture - in good to great condition
• Vintage or shabby chic items
• Gift baskets or certificates
• Plants and outdoor décor

A receipt will be provided for your donation of goods.
