Ocean Commotion

Based off of Noah and the Ark, Ocean Commotion was directed to teaching our young audience to give thanks, trust in God, be brave and strong in faith, along with keeping Gods commandments.

We split up our VBS in to two weeks. First week we had our Kingdom Kids group having Foothills Fellowship youth group from South Carolina taking over with all 4 stations. The second week we had Kalona Mennonite youth group from Iowa helping out with our second group that consisted of Garfield neighborhood kids.

Our days were a full schedule for the two hours we had our kiddos. Both opening and closing assemblies had dancing, praising, and praying for a good day and our youth to take to heart the lessons being taught. We split up into 4 groups: Sharks, Puffins, Sea Otters, and Dolphins. Each station being 25 min log. Thanks to Ann Roby, our Children's Ministry Director, for doing an amazing job with the prep work of all our decorations and our Summer Intern Aleisha with our Student Leaders Lala, Pati, and Francis for helping set up. We really felt like we were at sea!!! 😊

Kids had soooo much fun and enjoyed the company of these two amazing groups. We feel very blessed that they came out and showed our kiddos the love of God through these two weeks. Can it be next year yet so we can do it all over again??

Lets check out some pics:

In total we had an attendance of 100 kids. This is shockingly amazing!!!

Thanks again to both of these youth groups for coming out and helping the youth of Phoenix become closer to God. We truly appreciate you!!
