The heat is here, and so is VBS time!
Our stage has been transformed into Camp Discovery, with a happy little campfire and a happy little sun.
The Sunnyside Mennonite youth group flew here from Kalona, IA, arriving late Friday evening, to lead a week of Vacation Bible School and complete some other projects, too. We (especially the children) have been blessed by their many talents -- music, drama, and teaching -- and their overall caring, fun attitudes.
Kids enjoyed traveling around to various stations with their group leader. The stations included: Games, Memory Verse, Snacks, Crafts, and Bible story.
For the craft, they made a sea in the bottle, since they had learned about Jesus calming the stormy sea.
In addition to VBS, the group has given us shiny windows again, scrubbed the intern guys' house, and gotten up at 5 a.m. to re-roof our storage sheds. What a blessing!
