Attendance jumped from 30 to 50 for our second night of VBS. Kids had a great time learning new songs, eating cupcakes, decorating pillowcases, memorizing Scripture, tossing water balloons, and hearing another segment about the life of Esther. A big, big thanks to our local volunteers and Trinity Christian youth for leading kids on a Hawaiian adventure this week!
The skits, Bible stories, and memory selections center around the theme of Jesus as the only way to heaven. Children have been asking questions, since that concept is challenging for some. "But don't you go to heaven if you're GOOD enough?" Also, one exclaimed, "I'm not dirty!" when told he was dirty because of sin. Pray for teachers as they present the gospel and point kids to Jesus each evening.
